El Toro has had the good idea to ask At, a DJ from Netherland, to make this compilation. The result is a solid and versatile set of dancing numbers, some very well known and others a little bit more obscure. There's a majority of jump/rhythm'n'blues (Roy Brown, Lavern Baker, Jimmy Whitherspoon) mixed with jazz/big band numbers (Ella Fitzgerald, Tommy Dorsey), hillbilly boogie (Carl Smith), western swing, rockabilly (Mimi Roman) and some good ol' rock'n'roll thrown in for good measure (including a curious Bob Wills tunerecorded when he tried to catch the rock'n'roll wave). Hey, there's even a Pat Boone song !At knows his job and perfectly manages to build a "floor filler" with what could seem at first glance too eclectic.
