From the first blurry pictures that I saw on the internet, of the fabulous Rockin Bonnie and the Rot Gut Shots, I knew that this was something special. Plenty of bands can play really well these days, so that is not enough for a booking for The Rockabilly Rave.. and plenty of bands have a lot of enthusiasm and energy, so that again is not enough for a booking. What Rockin Bonnie has, apart from the obvious talent and enthusiasm, is a feeling from deep in her heart about 1950's music. She sings in a style that is exactly right for the music.. there is nothing modern about her voice or her style.. she could be up there with Charlene Arthur, some 50 years ago. I don't believe that this is something that can be taught. You either have it or you don't. Rockin Bonnie and her incredibly talented band, have it. No question about it. The band was born in 2006 and it's composed by five elements: Rockin'Bonnie (lead vocals), the new rockin' sensation, backed by four hot rhythm'n' booze guys coming from other important italian and swiss rockin' bands. Max (Guitar) from the Starliters Manuel (Drum) from Hot Tubes Jerry boogie (Piano) from a plenty of bands Nuno the frantic talented double bass player from the Tennessee Boys, Silvan Zingg trio, Ruby Ann & the Boppin' Boozers. Rockabilly, Hillbilly Bop and Country stuff will knock your socks off! |

Rockin’ Bonnie, would be singing the same words and echoing the same sassy energy...! This, her debut album. has all the ingredients to make one strong cocktail of musical styles. Start with the barrelling piano pumping Honky Tonk of ‘I Wanna Make Love’, pour in a measure of classic Country Rockabilly with, ‘What Am I Worth’ and then add a dash of solid self penned Rock’n’Roll with ‘Burnin’.
