THE NU NILES – DESTINATION NOW
We got a few copies of this gem! Japanese edition, the only edition on CD from this fabulous album; El Toro has the vinyl one.
It's without doubt their best work since they started in 1996. It's their own unique sound: what they call "Authentic 50's Punk". They started out as an Authentic Rockabilly Band and after several years searching for their own personal style, they finally came up with this brand new record. From Ska to Surf, From Punk to 50's Rock'n'roll, from Rockabilly to ballad, the band has all the songwriting and instrumental skills they need to really put the Nu Niles experience across.

DANNY AMIS CON LOST ACAPULCO - DADDY O GRANDE EN MÉXICO
Danny Amis, aka Daddy-O Grande, travelled to Mexico City in May of 2006 and reunited with old friends "Lost Acapulco" to record these 13 rockin' instrumental tracks. Seizing the opportunity to employ other local talent as well, a mariachi horn section was hired. When they didn't show up for the session, they were replaced by a local ska horn section (who incidentally wear clown suits). A latin percussionist was also brought in to fill out the sound, making this Daddy-O Grande's proudest and most unique project to date. Imported Mexico

FR1956 – FIREBALL STEVEN – ROCKABILLY DONE RIGHT
The new Fireball Steven project fully lives up to the expectations. Raw, unpolished and authentic roots rockabilly. Primal rock experts Ace Brown and The Helldivers do a splendid job adding to the authentic feel of this album. These are recordings Fireball Steven did from 2000 till 2004 on several locations, ranging from Wild Hare's New Hope Studio in the USA to a session in his own living room. There's even a unique recording from Nic Nilsson when he was a fourteen year old lad, belching out his first ever self penned rocker, taped with a cassette recorder. Nice to hear how his voice has improved over the years. These tracks are added as bonus tracks and are introduced by Nic himself. There's a tip-top selection of guest musicians contributing to make this a CD that deserves a top drawer spot in your rockabilly collection: Roc Larue, (yes, the one and only), forementioned Ace Brown and The HellDivers, The charming Rockin' Irene with her bullfiddle, Wild Hare's own Dave Moore and The Saddle Palls to name a few. Of course there's also Nic's own band, The Hale Bops!

Artist: Mr. Whiz
Album: This Is Mr. Whiz
Style: Rockabilly

With this CD, Mr. Whiz introduces to the world their unique brand of a style that they have proudly named hillbilly swing. This term --already used in the late 1940s by western swing bandleader Curley Williams-- refers in this case to a one-of-a-kind blend of rockabilly, hillbilly, and western swing that has become Mr. Whiz's trademark. Their music is a perfect mixture of their varied influences -- the rockabilly side of Carl Perkins, the honky tonk style of Hank Williams, the colourful western swing of Bob Wills, the finger-pickin' of Merle Travis, and even the nonchalant, jazzy swing of Fats Waller are but a few examples.

Artist: VARIOUS ARTISTS - REAL COOL CATS -
Album: TEXAS ROCKABILLY 1955

8 page booklet with liner notes by Dave Penny. "T for Texas - T for Tennessee" sang Jimmie Rodgers in 1928, setting the seal on two of the most important states involved in the growth of Country music in the years thereafter. By extension, the development of country rock 'n' roll - rockabilly - in the early and mid 1950s was strongest in those areas, but Memphis-based Sun Records blazed brightly early in the game, casting the exciting Cat Music of the Lone Star State in a deep shadow...

Artist: Ellis & The Angry Teens
Album: Bad Rockabilly Music
Label: Goofin’ Records
Style: Teddy Boy

Track listing:
Bad Rockabilly Music ~ Chances Are ~ Hey Gina ~ Opportunity ~ Move Over Tiger ~ Scratchin' ~ Still Wild ~ My Buddy's Baby ~ Teenage Special ~ Doncha Come A-Knockin' ~ Alcohol Man ~ I'm Tired Of Bummin' Around ~ Doin' It ~ Let Me In.
Ellis & The Angry Teens are Finland's Teddy Boy band, with quite a few albums to their credit. In the 70s and 80s, Finland was one of the biggest suppliers of fantastic rockabilly bands in Europe, and for a whole new generation of Teds and Rockers in Scandinavia, this was their 'orginal' music, with bands like Teddy & The Tigers and the Boppin' Pete Trio. This one comes in ultra de-luxe package nicer than a digipack.

"This new album is a well produced combination of original music and covers that have not been redone too much over the years, with a 'no-nonsense, keep-it-simple' attitude. Great pleasure! Well done guys." The Black Cat

Artist:
Rayburn Anthony
Title: My Baby's Car Crazy
Style: Rockabilly
Price: 13,00 €

Contains 14 tracks, all written or co-written by Rayburn Anthony and recorded in an unmistakable early Sun style. Rayburn Anthony has a pleasant voice, that matches his songs like a glove and each song tells a story about the lessons of life, and undoubtedly Mr. Anthony has had his share and been there, done it and lived through it. If
not, well, he could've fooled me. This is a mighty fine CD, and if you like old school rockabilly you simply cannot afford to miss out on this one!

Format: CD
Artist:
Mississippi Queen
Title: Did You Say Love
Style: Rockabilly
Price: 13,00 €

Mississippi Queen is a drum less trio from Croatia that delivers an excellent album, and every song has been taken care of with lots of passion, enthusiasm, and rock & roll by the band. All this commitment and plain hard labour results into this sparkling CD. It's one of those platters that you throw in the player, puff a smoke, drink a beer and enjoy the ride. The self penned tracks have been well-matured and they grab you straight away. The cover songs underwent a nice treatment and received a great work over. Johnny Burnette's "Cincinatti Fireball" is a hard to cover song, but I just have to love this version.

Format: CD
Artist:
The Round Up Boys
Title: Good Lookin' Daddy!
Style: Rockabilly
Price: 13,00 €

This is the band's second full length CD, it has 16 tracks and with the first spin you recognize it: this is a party CD! Filled with extremely catchy, medium and up tempo tunes. Good Lookin Daddy is already bound to become a classic amongst the rockabillies. The Round Up Boys delivered an album that doesn't get boring for one single moment, some songs performed in a classic guitar / guitar / bull fiddle / skins line up, whilst others have roaring saxophones or a piano added. In "I got Trouble" the Boys show that they are also capable of laying down great close harmonies…

Format: CD
Artist:
Spo-Dee-O-Dee
Title: The Many Sides of
Style: Rock and Roll and Rockabilly
Price: 13,00 €

OK, you already know this is a great rockabilly combo, so you think you know roughly what to expect on this album, right ? Oh Really ??? Well you couldn't be more wrong, and I'll tell you why…
You get yanked straight in with a frantic paced bopper, Crazy For My Baby, and the pounding moody rocker, Lovestruck Baby. But then whats this ? Piano and Sax on the '58 Danny Boy classic, Don't Go Pretty Baby ?!! As this gets you thinking, you cruise along with a couple of fine country rock songs blaring out.... the tuneful, Why Did She Have To Go ? you play over and over and the alternate Tell Me Who with '60's Elvis western movie backing, has you grinning from ear to ear !
A change of mood and the powerhouse instrumental, Thunderbird is followed by a straight down the line Gene Vincent rock'n'roll workout on Let Me In ! When you hear, I Aint Got You and Pride and Joy, you have to look at the CD cover to check that this earthy, black r'n'b is the same band ! No More Cryin The Blues superbly handled.. not rushed, calms you back down, and just when you thought life was normal again, the guys shed their rockabilly skin and turn out a perfect white Italian/American do wop classic..
Unbelieveable! Jerry Chatabox
