The Honeybees are primarily known for the tight vocal harmonies of Barbara Clifford and Rachel Decker along with the explosive drumming of co-founder and long-time Chicago music scene mainstay, Theresa Drda.
1950's Rockabilly meets roots meets the early 1960's would describe the band's musical bent, but from there, the Honeybees move into a tight, modern energy mode that's driven by guitarists Shawn Koch, Mark Braun, and bassist, Michael Hogeorges.
The band's influences range from rockabilly and roots legends including Wanda Jackson, Janis Martin, Brenda Lee, Chuck Berry, The Sonics, Ricky Nelson, and T-Bone Walker, to modern artists such as Rosie Flores and The Paladins.
The Honeybees have shared the stage as an opening act for artists including, Rosie Flores, Los Straight Jackets, Wanda Jackson, Junior Brown, and the Paladins. They've played venues throughout Chicago and the U.S. and festivals such as the "Hollywood Showdown" at The Knitting factory, in Seattle at the "Shake the Shack Rockabilly Ball" at Tractor Tavern, and will be at "Viva Las Vegas" 2005, at "50's Rockabilly Weekender" at Green Bay Casino 2005, and at "Screamin' Festival" in Barcelona, Spain 2005.

THE HONEYBEES
IN THE KEY OF BEE!
This is their 3rd full length release on El Toro Records; a rock n roll album with 13 songs to move you. Both Barb and Rachel sing harmonies with power, strength, and fire but yet, softly on some ballads. It's time resembles the late 1950's/early 1960's rock n roll you might hear in an Elvis movie or an Everly Brothers album.
Upbeat, rocking, rockabilly sounds with lots of roots and blues styling. Theresa is the driving force on the drums for this band and this album is powerful!
Give it a listen! It’s nicely packaged in a digipack
