Las harmonias vocales alcanzaron su época de gloria desde mediados de los 50's hasta mediados de los 60's pero la tradición va muchos más atrás hasta llegar a las primeras grabaciones musicales realizadas. Este CD se centra en el nacimiento de los grupos vocales en la post guerra en una gran variedad de formatos: cuartetos, quintetos, jazz, acapella y hasta big band vocal groups, todos ellos arquitectos de lo que se convertiría en el Doo Wop.
